personality
Angel, as a small child, was quite impressionable. He was incredibly curious and naive- actually, wait, that hasn't changed. He's always had a thirst for knowledge and enjoyed absorbing any and all information that people are willing to give him; unfortunately, when he was young he had problems knowing who was a reliable source and who wasn't, which led to many interesting misunderstandings. That, combined with his general nerdy persona, made him a massive target for pranks. If there's anything about him though it's that he learns quickly, and thus by the time he was in his teens he adapted to be distrusting, sly and manipulative. He still has that curiosity and general sense of innocence, of course, but the naivety is long gone, replaced by a sense of scientific discovery. With just a dash of apathy. Which is kind of a frightening combination, come to think of it, as he's bound to do just about anything in the name of science. When your father is Death, you tend to have an interesting sense of morality when it comes to things like human experimentation. You know, for science!
He's quite sweet to his family, naturally, but when you come from a family like his things like empathy can be a bit tricky. When he's close to people he loves to spoil them, but around strangers he can be distant or even downright hostile. Having someone introduce him to you is probably your best bet; he's quite a homebody. That doesn't mean that he hates going out, as there's nothing he loves more than shopping with his friends. (Okay, so maybe he has a bit of a weakness for shoes. And high heels. Bite him.) He's incredibly social within his own group of friends, and hates going anywhere alone, he just hates not knowing things and thus is unsure of himself around strangers. He'll get better about that as he grows, though- for now he's perfectly happy to hang out with his brothers and his fathers, learning and growing and trying to figure out just what makes this bizarre universe tick.

history
Angel is the son of Life and Death themselves, and thus has a grand destiny laid out ahead of him. After all, he was born into his godly heritage, which is more than most can say. He and his brother Kanashi were born with the full power of the Gods- which was quite interesting when they were infants, to be sure- and as the polar opposite of his brother Pestilence, it would make sense that Healing would be more attracted to Life. Unfortunately, that really isn't the case. In fact he's completely fascinated by Death, and tends to follow his Father around absolutely everywhere. He's fascinating by how the human body functions, and when someone is dying anyway, well, it's a prime time to perform a dissection. For science! Besides, he's supposed to help delay Death, which means he should learn more about how Father's magic works. Right? He's pretty much there to make both of his parents' lives easier, after all- less work for Papa Grim Reaper if the deaths are delayed a bit, and all that.
But honestly, the rest of his immortal life is pretty much a clean state. He's the patron God of Doctors, yes, so he does have the power for great good- but his fascination with anatomy can lead to some pretty grisly ends, too, if you're not careful. If an immortal God declares it's time for a science experiment, it's probably in your best interest to run like hell, or else you might be meeting his father very, very soon.

creatures
Doll - Possessed Doll
Um. It just sort of... follows him around? He isn't sure if it has a gender, or what it's intentions are, or where it came from or what it does or... anything. It's just the Doll. (It's actually an abandoned voodoo doll and drawn to his powers. If it could talk it would call him Master- not that that makes it any less creepy, actually.)
Donatello - Baggi (Monster Hunter)
He's a very proud Baggi, even if he's just a small one. Similar to Raphael's Wroggi, it acts as Angel's guard dog and follows him around everywhere. The fluid he spits is also a heavy anesthesia, which is very helpful should Angel decide he wants to perform an operation and hisvictim subject isn't very pleased about the prospect. Er, well, helpful for Angel, although being unconscious is probably a good thing anyway.
Amaimon - Sand Wraith (HTTYD)
Angel's dragon protector, they've been together since birth. They never go anywhere without each other, per the fathers' orders, and he could be described as a baby sitter of sorts. He's an incredibly sweet dragon, who loves long walks on the beach and eating fish. And popping up out of the sand and terrifying people, but that always used to make the little Angel giggle wildly anyway. Affectionately nicknamed "Mammy".

extra
Angel's power is healing, but that doesn't mean he just waves a magic wand and poof, you're better. No, he prefers a much more scientific approach. He's just really, really good at it. If you want to pray for your own survival, you're probably better off praying to his father Life- his powers are more along the lines of giving doctors the extra skill they need to save their patients. Scientific advancement is more his thing, though it's true that he does have a special knack for the medical field. It's just that his powers are more of the passive sort. He's still someone to reckon with, though- the boy is quite terrifying with a scalpel.
He absolutely adores technology and the pursuit of all things scientific- in fact, he shows a distinct distaste for anything magical, as magic just doesn't make sense in his logic-based mind. The fact that his mother was a male completely baffles him, and that might be part of why he and Raphael never got along very well. It can be a little off-putting when your five year old asks if they can dissect you, after all.
He hasn't quite discovered them to their full ability yet, but that doesn't mean his quick mind is the complete extent of his abilities. In fact, he does have a few tricks of the more supernatural variety: a little thing that humans used to call voodoo. Think potions, snakes, and creepy dolls, with a little bit of chanting in between. He's the god of tribal shamans and medicine men as well, you know. He absolutely hates that version of healing, though- it's so imprecise and primitive- and as of such he really has no clue how to use any abilities like that.
