Everything was so dark... A girl with long blonde pigtails stood in this dark place, she looked around trying to figure out what was going on... One minute she was at her brother''s birthday party handing him his gift, the next she was here... She didn't understand anything that was really going on, she stood up in the darkness trying to wrap her head on the situation... As soon as she reached full height the world changed with thousands of book cases filling of, aisle upon aisle near her, scared she jumped back into one of the book cases. This force knocked over a large big that slammed onto her head, causing her to black out...
That very same girl's body floated on the ocean, her hair now sprawled out from being unraveled. The water's current gentle laid her against the beach, in her hand laid a note, the note received by those taken here for protection. Eventually the girl's body reached the shore and stayed there as the waves gently hit her feet. She wore a blue dress, now partially wet from the ocean. The girl's eyes stayed closed, still locked sleep, only to be awoken when found.

Note to self: Kanashi is 10.

He walked along the beach, the two small Quetzalcoatls draped along his shoulders. They were rather quiet for the time being, Raven nestled with her tail draped loosely around his neck, and Crow doing the same. Razorspine was not far behind, but when was he ever? The Skrill was in charge of protecting the young God while his parents were busy. Given the young God never stayed at home when there was fun to be had, he got permission to come to the rest stop in the middle of the ocean to play. It was close enough that his father's Timberjack could check on him and report back to his fathers. At least he was trusted alone with Razorspine and was allowed to travel to approved places. The dragon would never take the boy to a place Mirun did not approve of.
This beach was fine though. It was getting a little chilly, but the bright sun kept him nice and warm. He walked along the sand, kicking some of it mixed in with the salty water. He stopped when he saw something odd. A girl in a pretty dress. He perked up, his sudden change in his normal strides waking the two Quetzalcoatls. Raven and Crow peered at the girl, raven's expression becoming one of worry, Crow's one of sinister deeds. "Oh dear, Kanasssshi-darling, help the poor child," Raven said, her tongue flickering out. "No no! Give her a diseassse! Test your ssskills! No more practice on tiny plants!" Hissed Crow. Raven hissed at her sister, the winged-snake hissing back. Kanashi looked at them both before looking to Raven and giving a smile. He liked how soft she spoke, while Crow was so rough.
"Hey," he asked, looking over the girl. "Are you alright?" He hoped so, or father should be coming any time now to collect another soul, right?

The voice sounded in her ears, barely reaching her mind, encouraging her wake. A mumble escaped, her eyes fluttered open to see a large shadow above her. An agonizing head pain swirled through her mind were the book in her dream had hit her. She quickly pulled herself up, placed her right hand on the back of her head, her eyes shifting toward the ocean while doing so. There was something warm and gooey under the palm, pulling away thick red stuff covered the hand. Her mind swirled trying to register what the red stuff was, where did it come from, and why was the pain from her dream here in real life. She looked up at the figure, the confusion written all over her, she could find no voice to ask. In her large round aqua blue eyes, began to grow water orbs, as she began to cry.

Crying... Kanashi didn't know how to handle crying. It was something he didn't deal with often. Well, he dealt with it sometimes from his brother William, but William was William. William was a boy. This was not. Kanashi had little experience when it came to girls his age. Like, for example, the last girl he met didn't think seeing a rotting body was fun. Well that was obviously her fault for trying to be friends with the kid of Life and Death but still. He knew how to handle his siblings, at any rate, but a stranger. Nope. He tilted his head to the side, Raven and Crow watching the little girl curiously with him. Razorspine was the only one not curious. He gave a low growl but kept at a distance, Kanashi waving him back. There was already crying going on, Kanashi didn't want Razorspine to add to that.
"Hey now, ssstop sobbing, kid," Crow hissed, Raven smacking her sister with her tail. The two glared at each other for a bit before Raven nudged Kanashi's neck, trying to get him to do something. "What can I do?" He asked her, shrugging. "I'm not good with emotions. Or crying people." The Quetzalcoatl glared at him for a short while, shaking her head. Sometimes both he and her sister were useless.

Her feelings and frustration grew as her tears came out faster, eventually she had to close her eyes. She like any child began to rub her eyes, the red stuff from the back of her head rubbed all over her face.

So she wasn't going to really look at them? That was alright. Kanashi blinked and shifted where he stood, wanting to go and play a game or something. "Hey, lady," he said, tilting his head to the side. "Why are you all bloody? You die or something?" Hey, he had seen many weird things. It wasn't like it was impossible. Dad and daddy told him many times that some people died that became Gods, so that meant that anyone that came to the island could have died to get there, right? Not like Kanashi cared, really, he was born here. This was all normal. "You wanna play with me, bloody lady?" he asked, smiling brightly. Maybe they could play tag!

The boy began to speak to her, she calmed down a bit. Her childish curiosity override any frustration she had felt. She now much calmer, began to look around seeing the beach and various random shrubs and trees. "Die? what's die?" she asked tilting her head, never once in her life had she heard a word... She really hasn't heard many words, her parents were over protective.
She picked herself up, the sand feeling warm beneath her touch. He asked to play... to play.. She gave a nod, now that the pain on he head subsided. She wondered what sort of "play" they would be doing, she only knew few games...

Oh, so she didn't know what death was? Well then! Kanashi could help out with that! "Dying is when dad comes to collect your soul and help you move on to the next life! Kinda like falling into a very long sleep. That's what he told me anyway! Some people don't really die though, but he won't tell me about that." Something about ghost and zombies and all that stuff. His smile grew brighter when she nodded. So she would play! The two Quetzalcoatls on his shoulders shifted, looking at each other, their tails tightening around Kanashi's neck in case he decided to start running suddenly. "What games do you know?" He asked, shushing Razorspine when the Skrill growled again. Huffing, the dragon moved back a few more steps, not wanting to upset his master.

"Dying is when daddy comes take you away.." her eyes went wide and round, as she imagined this other life... Into a very long sleep.. Did her daddy take her here? Did she have a daddy, she couldn't recall... His smile grew, he liked that she wanted to play. Her heart pounded at the thought, she was happy to make him happy... What did she know how to play? She looked around trying to remember.. When she finally remembered she smiled and shouted, "Tag! Hide N' Seek!" Then giggled at her own excited shout.

Hide and Seek sounded fun! Kanashi's smile grew as he nodded, looking at Razorspine. The dragon snorted and settled down on the sand, curling up. "Hide and Seek! So Razorspine will be our safe zone!" he said happily. "You want to go hide? I'll count to one hundred!" It had been a while since he got to play with anyone besides his brothers, so this was bound to be fun! And he would have a fun story to tell his dad later on when it was time to go back home.

She gave a nod to everything he said, when he began counting, she ran off toward the forest looking for a near by spot to hide in. She probably gave her position away with all her giggling, as she hid behind a tree.
