The Lynx was only a hours walk away from Coconut Village. This was his big moment, the moment when he would show this island just who he was. His plan was simple, he would start his work on the Village by keeping a promise that he would soon make. every night, the murder of one person. The Lynx wanted to make the most of his first impression on these people, and with that in mind, he decided to kill people in the same way each time, a way that if the average human mind imagined or thought about it, would almost immediately stop pondering the idea as the cruelness and the idea of the pain it would cause would be too much for the mind to handle. Then The Lynx would make his big move on the day he saw the village most unprepared. He would jump across the rooftops of the building, setting each on ablaze with a torch. Lynx would normally be much more discreet about his work, but he needed to make an impression, plus the villages law enforcement would be easy to deal with if they got in the way fast enough. The Lynx wouldn't give them much of a window to interfere, because early in his fire run he would slip into their headquarters, and make personally make sure the place was burned down to the ground, and that each of the men inside would be killed. His next and final move, would be to finish off the sorry people by causing as many deaths, by knife and hammer, and by destroying the locals food and water supplies. Altogether it was a simple plan, and the Lynx hoped to get to the village tonight, set up camp somewhere he could look down upon the settlement and take note of it's general layout, Lynx was almost sure nothing could stop him now. But as he had learned sometime before (he still couldn't figure out when) anything can happen in the smallest amount of time. But of all the things that could cause a problem, The Lynx never expected the damned innocence of a child.

The world she was currently in was twisting and turning, what was this place? How did she get here? Little did she know she was walking in one of the Coconut Village villager's dream. It was quite creepy with harry coconuts everywhere, some even had wings and unicorns. She walked through the dream trying to figure out how she was here, she was playing on an island... With some kids... Now here... Is she sleeping?
Trinity ventured further when she saw a large door, she quickly ran to it, turned the knob. A large light engulfed her freeing her from the dream. She opened her eyes to see a wooden cottage roof, she slowly raised up looking around. How did she get here? Quietly she snuck to the door of the cottage and out of the home. She looked around the village, it was a peaceful night. Curious, and lost, she began to wander the village.
She currently wore the white dress she arrived in on the island, her blond hair in two long pigtails, her blue eyes big and wide of innocence. The further she ventured from the cottage she awoke in, the more she realized it was cold, dark, and she was all alone... "Hello? Anyone there?" she shouted in a girly scared voice. Where was brother? Protector? Where was she?

Trigger Warning: Murder (not described explicitly)
He had found the perfect spot to set up a temporary camp, It was in a lightly forested area with hills blocking the view of the village. The Lynx knew that when the village started a manhunt for him the area would be a more than inadequate place to hide, but it would do for now. Based off the suns position it was in the later half of 5:00. He had plenty of time. The Lynx took a moment to wash up in the nearby river. Afterwards he replaced his purple hair dye (it had washed off in the river) and took a good look at himself in the river's reflection. He saw the suit that he had woken up from his most recent black out in. It was almost certainly tailor-made for him, at least in size, Lynx actually despised how the suit looked on him, sure it was flashy, and it looked good, but the suit in no way reflected what he was. As The Lynx looked into the river he realized that when people feared him, they would remember the purple hair and the eyes, but not the suit, it was unmemorable, it was the suit that people who followed the rules wore, that people who had not realized the truth wore. The Lynx needed a new suit. He walked away from his reflection to set up the camp. The Lynx looked up at the moon. It was a little past 7:00, he had spent the last hour examining the village, preparing everything he needed for his plan. His target was a family of three, a mother, a father, and a small brunette girl no older than seven. The mother was his target. The family seemed as happy as can be. The Lynx snorted. When her body was found the family would quickly spend their days in despair. It was just another example of how life was random and inconsistent. Lynx reasoned that he knew the town well enough now. He strode towards the camp that he had set up two hours ago, sat down, and pulled out a deck of cards and a lighter from his pocket. He passed the next two hours preforming an incredible show of magic to an invisible audience. The Lynx bowed to his invisible audience "Thank You! Thank you all for coming!" He exclaimed "I hope that you enjoyed yourselves these past two hours!" The Lynx sounded different, his voice was an octave higher than normal, and he sounded like a performer announcing his act to a full theater. Another two hours till it's time too strike. The Lynx begins to get worked up, he always does before the thrill of the kill. It's a long wait till 11:00, but when it comes he's ready. The Lynx composed himself, straightened his suit, and strutted towards coconut village. Lynx was was completely silent (he has done this so many times). The moon giving him an eerie glow. The Lynx smirked as he made his way over to his prey's dwelling. He jiggled the door handle, he wasn't surprised to find that it was locked. It took a single lock pick and only a few moments took break the lock. The house was pitch black as The Lynx shifted throughout the halls. He quickly located his prey's sleeping quarters and slipped inside. The mother was deep in a peaceful sleep. The Lynx watched her sleep for a while. She was thirty three or thirty four, she had her hair dyed pink. She also had a deep white scar that traveled diagonally from the top-right of her forehead to the left side of her lips. The scar barley missed her left eye. The Lynx was transfixed on that beautiful wound for the next few minutes. The woman's breathing started to heavily increase, and behind her eyelids, the eyes were rapidly moving. She was dreaming, having a nightmare. The Lynx briefly wondered what she dreaming. Maybe it had something to do with how she got that scar, or maybe it had something to do with her past, or it could just be some giant monster that was chasing her in some warehouse. The Lynx reached for his hammer, this women's past didn't matter, he needed to get on with his job. The Lynx raised the hammer. It would have been more fun to play with this girl before he killed her, but he could do that in the days that would come. Right now, he had a job to do. The Lynx let the hammer fall.
He left a business card next to the woman, it was boldly labeled The Lynx with a picture of a Lynx proudly displayed below. The Lynx proudly swaggered out of the building. And that was when he heard it. "Hello? Anyone there?" It was the innocent scared voice of a young girl. The Lynx looked around. He saw a girl at about ten years of age wandering alone in the night. The idea of toying with her and ending the child's life was tempting, but The Lynx had to get it across the town that each night meant another murder. But that didn't mean he couldn't toy with the girl. The Lynx put a friendly face and stepped into the girl's line of sight. "Hey." The Lynx crooned "What are you doing out so late, shouldn't you be with your parents?"

She didn't feel his presence, all she felt was the growth of the shadows around. It was almost as if her growth in fear made the night all that scarier, she knew nothing of murder or death, but fear was humane. Tears began to grow upon her eyes as this fear made her small childish mind and body panic, then a voice sounded.
Instantly she turned to the voice, tears rimming her eyes. He held the most friendliest face she ever saw, he had red hair with a purple recently dyed streak, then complex clothing. She really didn't notice all the details about him, all she noticed was that there was someone out here, and talking to her. She immediately ran straight toward him in a hug, crying, not caring that it was a total stranger. When her fear settled a bit, she was able to reply to his question, "Momma? Papa?". She held the face of confusion, she could not remember her parents, nor were they around. For all she knew this man, this stranger was her parents.

The girl embraced him, sobbing. The Lynx was startled by the act and for a few seconds he didn't know what to do with his hands, before he instinctively wrapped them around the girl. He woke up tied to a chair he was wet, and very cold. A woman, someone very important to him lay dead on the ground. Killed by a bullet.
The Lynx fell out of his short stupor. He was still holding the girl that was clutching on to him for dear life. What the hell was that!? He thought. "Momma? Papa?" A look of confusion was on the girls face. Had this girl lost her parents to the cruelty of reality? Somehow The Lynx felt a great sympathy with this girl, he felt as if he had experienced something similar. This empathy caused The Lynx to lose all wishes too kill the girl. He realized that if this girl was so young and had truly been through the loss or death of her parents, than The Lynx could very well train her to be his successor. The idea enamored The Lynx. However Lynx had too look in the present now. "Everything is going to be okay" He said "I'm here now, and I will protect you" The Lynx pulled away just enough to look the girl in the eyes. "My name is The Lynx , What's Yours?"

He spoke softly to her, his tone brought on some sort of Fatherly memory, one she could not reach. It brought warmth into her heart, thinking that maybe he was here to help her, that maybe he was more than a stranger. She had played with kids on this islands, but something about peers vs family, peers just could not beat family. When he offered to protect her, she looked up at him with wide hopeful eyes. She knew not what the word "protect" meant, but it filled her with warmth.
He then pulled away to look at her in the eyes and asked for her name... What was her name? She looked through her memories, there was nothing. Her eyes glazed over, she began to forget he was there providing "protection", her body began to shake... "Name... Name..." She took a few steps back confusion wrapping around her, her powers pumping a large surge of memories to the victim before her. There was nothing, it was all darkness. What was her name? "Name... Name..." She began to cry loudly, possibly loud enough to draw attention to the two of them. It seemed as if she wrapped herself in a bit of trauma and protection.

The Lynx first new something was wrong when the girl began to shake.
He was at a dining table, a bowl of steaming hot stew was in front of him, he looked up to the two people who meant the most to him. His mother and father. He said "Thank you" for the meal with as much gratefulness as he could fit into his voice.
The girl was now chanting Name... Name... over and over again
His mother and father had seated themselves on their favorite chairs in the living room, their was something special about this Saturday evening, but he wasn't sure. He was waiting for something. The doorbell rang, and he offered to get the door.
The Lynx somehow knew that he couldn't see this memory, that somehow if he did his entire reality would end.
The door seemed to pulsate faster and faster as he neared it.
The memory was growing hazy. The girl was still chanting.
He reached for the doorknob...
"No" The Lynx muttered "don't do it" "please!" "the girl started to cry loudly"
... and opened the black gates to hell. Everything happened at once, six devils armed with pistols forced themselves into the room. "Hey!" he yelled "this is our pro-" his speech was interrupted by one of the devils pressing a freezing pistol against his head.
The Lynx woke up kneeling on the ground, he was confused, and cold and their were hands grabbing at him. Their two owners were telling him to calm down, to relax. He heard a young girl crying. The Lynx looked up and saw the sweet girl that he had met earlier, crying with three men advancing on her. "Hey!" Lynx said "get away from her!" The men didn't stop heading towards the girl. "I said. Get. Away. From. Her." The Lynx retrieved a wicked daggers from inside his sleeves and a hammer from his. He lashed out at both of the men who were touching him. Two down three to go. Now the Lynx was able to keep his promise to protect this girl. He advanced on the men who went near the girl. They stood no chance. The men lay dead around him, now the girl was safe. The Lynx put his hands on the girls shoulders. Lynx noticed that this girl brought out an almost fatherly side to him."Hey" he said in a soft voice "your safe now, and you want to know what I've learned over my life. Who you want to be, Your name, it's all your choice." The Lynx looked at his girl with a beautiful passion "So, what is your name?"

By the time her panic calmed down enough for her to open her eyes, she saw a flash of Lynx killing two men who looked really dangerous. It was so instant, but in that moment, it seemed as if time had slow. A calmness fell on her, her eyes widen large at the display. She could not understand it, but it was almost an awing feeling. The flash of blade, the movements, a dance almost.
When all three attackers where laying on the ground, dead, he placed his hands on her shoulders. The hands felt like a soft touch, it was comforting almost a shield, this was the first person on the island to make her feel this way. There was a small memory tapping, but just not there. He spoke softly to her, he mentioned how she was safe. Then gave her the best advice anyone could, she could name herself. She looked at him with those large round eyes filled with complete trust in this figure before her, she did not know. She looked away trying to figure it out, what to name herself. She knew so few words, so few names.
She went through her knowledge of vocab, a grin passed her face when she found the name. She decided it to be the newest word she had learned, "Can I be called Dying? It is like when Daddies help others move to next life!" She felt joy overwhelm her explaining this new word she learned. She really didn't truly understand what dying meant. What she understood was that Daddies, a miscommunication between her and another child on the island, helped take souls and help move lives. This of course could be misinterpreted to many things, but she's still learning and will probably learn its true meaning one day... Or never.

"Dying" he tasted the word on his lips. Lynx smiled, a normal fool would call Dying's name abnormal, morbid, and unnerving. But The Lynx denounced those ignorant masses, For he knew the truth. Dying's name was beautifully eccentric, royally grand, and magnificently breathtaking. "It's perfect" The Lynx crooned. "That word, it is one of the most marvelously complex words that their are, and although most people will never fully understand it. I think I can teach you a few things about it. Dying is when someone is on the verge of moving to the next life, but they have to wait just a little longer to get there. That is the basic definition of Dying, but to understand it more completely, I must tell you a little about the word death. Death is when someone has moved on to the next life, and abandoned this one. Dying leads to death." The Lynx paused to wet his lips "When someone experiences death they leave their loved ones that are still on this world, and the sad thing is that those loved ones, shed many tears over the death. Sometimes they shed so many tears that they are scarred for life. When someone dies it creates a ripple of sadness, and that is part of what I do, show people that shedding tears over the people that have left this life is not only unnecessary, but wrong. That is all I can teach you about Dying, any other things that you will learn about the subject will have to come from experience" Lynx looked at Dying, and asked two final questions. "Hey, most people also have a last name, do you want one too? And I also have a place nearby where we could sleep, a temporary home. Do you want to come with me when I head back to it?"

She felt her heart pound with happiness at his excitement of her name choice. He liked it, he really liked it! He broke into a blabbering mess of what dying meant, how deeply it meant. She nod to every word he said, till he brought on death. The more he explained, the more her happiness faded away to confusion and tears. Why did that happened? Why was he so excited about it... As if not noticing her tears in his happy madness, he asked her if she wanted a last name. She looked up at him and blinked, such an odd fellow. Considering what had happened with the name, she didn't want a last name. She just shook her head fearing that he would tell her more about Death and how her name related to death...
He mentioned his temporary home, and coming with him. Should she? She didn't know after what happened with her name, but soon tiredness began to take over... It was night, she was a little girl, and she had used bit of her growing powers. She gave a yawn, soon her eyes began to fall. She gave a sleepy nod, then offered her hand for him to show her the way... Absolutely trusting this random madman, who she was grateful for, gave her a reason to live.
