The Newbie's Guide to Coconuts

Welcome to your best bet to gain some knowledge! Here is our Newbie's Guide to Coconuts! Here, there is a step-by-step guide how to get started, and where to find certain information. If you ever forget something, feel free to ask, or check here first. This will be updated if/when things end up changing.

So, you wanna get started, right? Well, first off, it is important to know our Rules and Regulations before anything else. They are pretty simple and mostly lax, but be sure to follow them. In the rules, you will find our Groups/Houses. These are the different divisions of the site, and they all decide where you come from. Please take note: your character can never switch houses.
Also note: the Gods house is only available during special events. Just like special release creatures.

Creatures are also a big part of the game. You can start with six. It is important to remember that Pokemon are creatures, but they are not listed. You can have any Pokemon except Legendaries. Those are considered special release only {Arceus can not be obtained cause it is considered a God and requires both a God character and a special creature at the same time}.

Don't worry, if you have a question about creatures, as in our Chatbox {sidebar III} and staff will be happy to help you. Or PM Dew or Zero.

Also, remember the IC Shoutbox works on the current account you are on. So if you are on your X Character's account, you will be typing as X Character.

Characters are a big part of the site, obviously! So, this is a step-by-step guide of creating your character and what to remember and look out for.
1. Go to Character Creation, click on Character Application. Quote it, then go to Character Creation to create a new thread.
2. Fill out the information and post WIP in the title if you are working on it, and remove WIP when you are!
3. Wait for staff approval. Do not pester your app to be accepted, but if you wait longer than two days, feel free to offer a gentle poke {"hey, go get my app right now" or similar rudeness will be ignored}.


It is important to remember that you don't need too much on History. You can have your character forget everything and just provide 100-ish words on where they woke up, have them remember everything about their former world, or have a partial memory. The choice is yours! Just keep in mind all our other rules.


Now, you can not have any canon characters from any fandom, that is strictly against the rules. But, your character can be a character from the world the FC comes from, but it can't be that character... make sense? Like, you can use, let's say, Naruto Uzumaki and have him come from the Ninja World, but he can't be Naruto. K?
There are some canon spots, like Gods and all but those are different.


Just remember this is a one-account-per-character site. It is also important you Track your characters and Fill out these forms before you rp with us. Be sure to keep your trackers and Who's Who and Face Claims updated.


You can also have an OOC account, if you want. It is suggested you do.

The M/W/Y Coconut is a newspaper that comes out at random times to update what is happening in the site. This is an IC Event, so feel free to reply with your character's thoughts IC. This can count towards your overall ten post. Generally, the newspaper will focus on things staff read in threads or in character profiles, and will allude to events that are currently going on or that are ending.

The Advertisement section can be used for your character's business if you want it to be, or you can suggest silly things to go into the paper. All other sections tend to be filled with information relating to the title of the section.

The newspaper is an NPC event, and the icon will usually be of an unclaimed face, or the icon of a staff member. No actual characters can be used during this event, so no, your character can not write the paper. They can ask for a section in the paper to relate to them if they want.
This might change in the future, but for now, the M/W/Y Coconut is solely NPC.

Every character you own is allowed one post. Only one post will be counted towards the overall 10 post requirement every edition.
