Mirun Nolan O'Hannegan

Mirun n. O'Hann.

The odd and the strange is practically Mirun's middle name. Nolan is pretty weird for a middle name anyway, but that's besides the point. He's quirky and odd. He likes to spend most of his time messing with living things, as in experimenting on them, seeing what he could twist and turn. Otherwise, he's rather friendly, usually having a large smile his face with warm hellos and the like. He's a sociable person, even though he has a lot of quirks to him. Talking to him is like talking to a four-year-old child some days, and an eighty-two year old man the next. He has a sense of humor, no matter how dark it can get, and will tend to laugh at anything, unless you insult him or someone he loves.

Care is something Mirun holds close to him. Just because he is the Grim Reaper doesn't mean he doesn't know how to care for things. He cares for all those that are close to him. From his lover, to his family, to his pets. They are all special to him and things he cherishes. Thus, he is a loving and loyal person, someone that would fight tooth-and-nail to keep those he cherishes safe. His pets hold the same virtues, and help him strive for that. Being Death is hard enough work when everyone thinks you want to kill them, so keeping some sort of compassion is vital to keeping one's sanity in the job he does.

Mirun also has a few mental instabilities. He has never been professionally diagnosed, but he does take some specially made medicine he has to crush from herbs. This medication is taken frequently with his food, so if he ever sprinkles some herbs on his food at a restaurant, don't question it. Just smile and nod. You don't want Death at your door, now do you?

No one ever said being a God was easy. Mirun had a rather tough childhood, despite being slightly odd or being, you know, a God. It's a long story, but the childhood left him broken and rather strange. It isn't really his fault, but he likes to keep it to himself. His history is something he would rather not tell others, unless they are close to him. As in, very close. He probably hasn't even told his lover yet. All that anyone needs to know is that it is something better left buried.

Mirun never had to wake up on the island. He was just there. Then again, he was Death, he lived everywhere. He liked the islands because his pets got along there. They liked it, so he stayed there, messing with mortals, making public appearances, slashing a scythe around around Halloween to scare the kids. The usual things. Of course, with all the new odd happenings, life just got a lot more interesting.
