The mare enjoyed a fresh patch of clover, the slightly bitter bit of greenery brushing against her tongue and delighting her with its natural taste. Oh, how she adored this stretch of land untouched by civilization. Fellow beasts, a vast majority more simpler than she, roamed the area alongside the maturing alicorn filly. And, with an unconcealed eagerness, Rhyme & Reason took it upon herself to enjoy the multitude of sprouting grasses and truly savor the clean airs. Alone, there was little to worry over - nothing to truly distract her attention and worry her mind. The mare allowed for her relaxed state to shove aside the idea of her hefty duties and tedious tasks. Despite how much she truly enjoyed her work, Rhyme's instincts urged for her to return to a peaceful and less complicated state.
"Mmm," she hummed, eyes fluttering shut. "I wish we had this where I live. Not that I mind the city. It's quite nice, actually. But, still..."
This - this land - reminded her of home.

Violette walks along the path a bit as she wonders how the people of the island are doing. It's been days since she's seen anyone, but she did find that paper thingie the other day with all that information about the island's condition, but what does that even mean anyway? And who publishes it? Violette surely doesn't know; besides, she fed the paper to Grace after she was done with it, so she can't exactly re-read it now. She meanders along for a bit before she comes across something, or someone. Violette can't really tell, she doesn't recognize the aura, so it's no one she's met before. She approaches slowly and glances at what seems to be a horse-like creature as it grazes. It's awfully pretty for any horse I've seen..but it looks like a horse, doesn't it..how odd.. she thinks as she slowly approaches. Violette senses no harm in talking to animals, she does it all the time anyway. "hello there! I'm Violette, and these are my friends!" she says from a relatively short distance away. Violette waits for a response as Grace and Phoebe float up near a branch and begin pulling off several leaves to eat. She hopes this creature is at least near-sentient. That last one was horrible! Thing was rabid and everything.. she thinks to herself.

At first, Rhyme reacted with lengthy silence, merely blinking up at the curious sight settled before her. The mare's mouth continued to move as she chewed her food, a slight crunch detected as her jaw shifted with each bite. After swallowing, the mare managed a small yet polite smile.
"Hello," she began, wiping at her mouth with a hoof. "I... didn't expect to meet anyone here."
The lawyer spoke truthfully, gaze wandering as she realized that she had remained blissfully unaware of the girl's initial approach. Only when the human had chirped out a greeting did the alicorn's attention shifted toward the bubbly creature. Peering toward the new arrival, Rhyme could not help but note her height in comparison to her own. Humanoid beings were blessed with superior stature in such occasions; the average someone typically settling comfortably upon two limbs instead of four. It had been a bit difficult to adjust to in the urban environment where she lived, but the mare eventually adapted to such change.
"Rhyme & Reason," she said, gesturing toward herself. "It's nice to meet you, human. I - "
A sudden blue blur shot past her, rushing toward the tree where the female human's companions were settled. Virgil, her Akita pup of barely a year, barked loudly, bearing her teeth in the Pokemon's general direction as she clawed at the tree's trunk in a futile attempt at reaching the peaceful pair.
"And that's my pet, Virgil," she drawled, eyes glinting with a poorly concealed amusement. "Isn't she beautiful? She's actually pure bred! Come over here, Virgil!"
Attention snapping away from the Poke duo, the dog's tail waggled happily before she bounded over to her mistress.
"Good girl!" The mare praised, pleased by the canine's obedience. "Now, where were we?"

TAG: RHYME & REASONWord Count: ehhNotes: Sorry it took so long and isn't all that impressive. My muse has been deflated recently. I think Zero was planning on posting after this one, so, yeah ^__^ Rhyme and Reason..what an interesting name. Two names in one? Or was it just one word? Perhaps it's a nickname? Violette didn't know, but the idea of such an odd name intrigued her. This pony intrigued her. Why was she so..not excited? Most ponies Violette had met up until this time had either been extremely friendly, or extremely wary of others. This one, Rhyme & Reason didn't appear to be either, but rather a less than happy medium; complacent medium, perhaps, but not happy.
Violette looks at her creatures, almost upset, when the canine creature darts across creation and towards her own creatures. It's a good thing they can fly, else there might have been a battle ensued.. "Where they trying to hurt them?" Violette asks, innocently, not really knowing the creature's true intentions. Violette waits for an answer as the rest of her Pokemon catch up; it seems they'd lagged a bit behind because Violette began skipping along at a rather fast rate a bit ago, and the others were caught off guard as their master left.
She looks at "Virgil". Violette recognizes that it certainly isn't any Pokemon she's ever seen. She takes note that this isnt' the first non-Pokemon creature on the island she's seen. She deduces that the nature of the island is much more sinister than she might have imagined, as it seems to take in qualities from all sorts of different forms. Regardless, Violette is content with her Pokemon, so why there are dogs in the area isn't exactly pertinent information unless it would help her to defend herself and her Pokemon against danger.
Violette looks at Rhyme and Reason and thinks back a few sentences ago to the statement that was being spoken. "You were going to say something, after addressing me, but your animal showed up." She looks down slightly, before making a slight motion with her hand meaning nothing in particular. "So, where are you from? Who are you, Rhyme and Reason?" she asks, partially out of curiosity, and partially out of suspicion toward the odd Pony.

Raphael, by nature, was more of a homebody. He liked his temple, he liked tending to his gardens there, and with his already-impressive collection of companions most days he didn't see much reason to venture out into the world. But the thing about young creatures is that they need to be active, his little Des in particular. He'd caught the alien puppy digging up his rose bushes one too many times, which was why they were now wandering through this secluded meadow. Des and Tonka, his Wroggi, took the open space as an opportunity to chase each other to their hearts' content, releasing all that pent up energy- which was all very well and good, until they came across other people, at which the puppy gave a little howl and tore off after what appeared to be another canine.
"H-h-hey!" Raphael yelped and broke into a jog, but the puppy flat out ignored him, barrelling straight toward another dog and what appeared to be a... purple horse? Hmm. "Des, darling, l-leave the poor thingsss alone!" But it didn't seem like the little creature meant any harm- he simply stopped in front of the other canine and dropped into a crouch, whole body wiggling excitedly in an invitation to play. "I, ahha, um. H-hello! I'm ssssorry, he's p-perfectly h-h-harmless, I just- You ridiculous thing, get back here." He was a God, but a puppy was a puppy, and once he got excited there wasn't much anything that anyone could do.
It seemed that Tonka had finally caught up with them, and for a moment Raphael feared that the Wroggi would take off as well. But this creature was older and thus a tad better behaved, and thus hung back by his owner, though he whined loudly all the while. The God gave the strangers a sheepish smile, blushing brightly, even as he tried to coax his young companion back toward him. Talk about good first impressions.

Rhyme flashed a sheepish grin. "Unfortunately, yes. I'm not going to lie, but Virgil still requires a bit more training."
The mare's hoof moved to pet the excitable pup's fur as she spoke, the canine quivering from delight at the gentle touch. The Akita pup tended to rush and charge recklessly no matter the level of danger present. The prominent scaring settled upon the dog's forehead had been caused by a beastly being she had confronted in the past; the frightening moment having seared itself into the mare's skull as she allowed the image to flash within the confines of her mind.
"I apologize," Rhyme muttered, blinking rapidly as she snapped herself away from such thoughts. "I'm an attorney, hu- Violette. I work in Owl City."
Her expression was neutral, chin tilted slightly upward to hint toward her pride in the profession. "As for my origins, I come from another world entirely. It's a bit obvious, I know. Not many alicorns in this realm are similar to my kind, I've - ."
As she opened her mouth to continue speaking, the mare jerked in surprise as her canine companion fled from underhoof and darted toward a small and pudgy mass of excitement and joy. Virgil barked in delight, curled tail a blur as she leaped around the potential playmate. Proceeding to roll her eyes, Rhyme allowed for an amused smile to form.
" - heard."
The new someone was greeted with the usual smile and nod of her head at first from the mare. And then things got a bit more interesting.
You see, the mare's nose twitched.
And then it twitched again.
"That... scent," she said, pressing a hoof against her chin in thought. "I know that scent anywhere. It's Lord Death's."
The mare approached the beautiful male, peering curiously at the stranger. Not many possessed the scent of her master. Plus, it also indicated a few more things. Blinking owlishly in his direction, the mare cast the female humanoid an apologetic look as her attentions veered away from their conversation.
"Excuse me, sir. But, are you familiar with My Lord? Your scent tells me you're - sniff, inhale, blush - very familiar with him."

Violette watches as the other boy-man comes into view. oh..another person? How fun! she thinks as she listens to the Female mare speak and she looks at her creatures, becoming slightly more defensive of them, but only in stance. She waits impatiently as the mare speaks to the boy who approached. something's.. different about him.. Hm. Weird. He looks a lot like me..I wonder why.. she thinks as she examines his aura. So many new people and creatures to watch and play with! Just gotta be careful of the more violent ones, of course. Violette was beginning to become incredibly impatient. It's not that she was mad that she was being ignored; no, Violette doens't get mad about stuff like that. It's just she's not having as much fun as she could be having! So, she walks up slowly towards the other two, motioning to her creatures to be careful, though not stressing it too much. If the dog thingie did attack again, she would be able to handle it. She's sure of herself.. She looks at the others. So..Rhyme and Reason, and this new person. I'm gonna have to make sure not to get them mixed up. Violette thinks to herself, knowing her tendency to do so. She doesn't impose herself on the conversation until it lulls a bit, in which case she smiles at the other boy, waiting for him to introduce himself. Violette wonders why everyone's creatures are so unruly. Of course, she's thinking this as her little Klefki is pinging itself againts the mare's head. ping, ping, ping he goes as his keys hit the mare. Violette hopes she doesn't get mad at him as the Goddess searches drastically through her bag for Twiddle's poke ball
