YUKI KOIZUMI (formerly) sailor Metis, housecat ♂ (genderfluid) appears eighteen | demisexual mahou shojo & shounen gods god of magical girls & boys |
personality
Yuki comes from a strict family who put grades and success over everything else. They taught him to strive to be the best he can be, but anything less than perfect is not enough. His parents often contradicted themselves whenever they ordered Yuki around, and, in the end, he just tried to please them to the best of his ability. He wears himself thin trying to keep those higher than him happy. He loses sleep over it, and his body floods with anxiety at even the slightest mess up. The idea of shrugging something off never comes to his mind. Instead, he prioritizes everything. He puts off the least important tasks and tries to complete the most important as soon as possible. The level of importance often depends on his needs, wants, deadlines, and who he is doing something for.
His knowledge does not come from studying alone. Under the sign of Metis, his intelligence is much higher than the average person's, and he can quickly read and analyse situations. Of course, there is a difference between book smarts, street smarts, logic, and common sense. While he has a firm grasp on all of them, he tends to work more with logic and common sense. However, all risks must be taken into account, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of others. The only downside is that he often fails to take into account his own limits, and this can lead to him passing out from exhaustion. Trickery is another concept he has found himself quite well-versed in under the sign of Metis. He can silver tongue his way through almost any situation that can be solved with words. He can lie his way through life, though he often chooses to twist the words of others to use against them.
Yuki is a sweet boy once you get to know him, though, like a cat, his mood can swing within the blink of an eye. One moment he will be affectionate, and then the next he is giving you the cold shoulder. His loyalty is always questionable, though he tends to stick around more if you have some sort of cat on you... Or ribbons and laser pointers. That is besides the point, though. On the matter of his loyalty, he has tried not to grow too close to anyone since waking up on the island. He blames himself for the deaths of his comrades, and he does not want to lead anyone else into the same fate as them.

history
The origins of Yuki's birth are unknown; however, he was adopted into a family in Tokyo, Japan when he was only a toddler. His childhood was like any other, filled with chores, playtime, pestering parents, and doing the homework that no one ever wanted to do. He especially hated having to do the drawing journals over summer break, and he would usually just fill it with his dreams rather than anything exciting he may or may not have done over the summer. He was around twelve years old when he was approached by a strange black cat with orange eyes with a strange symbol on his forehead. It was that very cat who ended up playing a large part in the boy's life, especially after given him a pen and an emblem that turned him into a magical girl. Yes, a magical girl. He had already been tormented enough at school for his feminine appearance, and turning into a Sailor Scout, dubbed Sailor Metis, just added fuel to the fire. At least no one knew who he was after a transformation.
Years passed him by, filled with new friends, strange enemies, and horrible school exams. His parents pressured him into studying more and more, and he could always be seen with a book in his hands whenever he wasn't dealing with Sailor Scout duties. His grades put him at the top of his class through most of his primary and secondary schooling. Too bad he was never given the chance to finish his schooling. During a battle with a being of darkness, one by one, his team fell into ruins. Yuki would have suffered the same fate. As the strategist for the team, he was more off to the sidelines giving orders and formulating new plans whenever something did not work out properly. With their feline companion in his arms, he tried to think of some way to help his team, but nothing worked as each one perished at the hands of darkness. Their foe turned its attention to Sailor Metis and the cat, charging one last powerful attack toward them.
But... Then there was a blinding white light. Warmth enveloped him. He woke up on an island without the familiar bundle of fur in his arms. His head was pounding, his memories were foggy. Yet, he could still remember each teammate and the monster that took them away from him. It's all my fault. A letter to his side, explained... some things to him, though he still had so many more questions. He was frantic, wondering why he had been saved yet no one else had been. Could he have truly been 'saved', or was he in purgatory for sending his teammates to his grave?
Days turned into months into years. He finally came to terms with what he was now. He could no longer turn into a Sailor Scout, yet he could turn into a cat, similar to the one from Tokyo in size and shape, yet different in pelt and symbol. At least the symbol of Metis was appreciated, though the nostalgic feeling it brought was more of sadness than happiness. While he does not fully understand the concept of being a god just yet, he does have some ounce of fun going around and putting people in sailor fuku. He can often be found lounging around towns or the shrines of other gods in his feline form. No one questions a sleeping cat, not even at a shrine.

The first thing you need to know about Yuki's wonderful powers is that he can grant a person the ability to transform (through some flashy, blinding lights that stupefies anyone watching) into a magical girl or magical boy. Sometimes, it's just a magical girl, even if it's being used on a boy. It really just depends on how much Yuki likes you--I mean what is inside your soul. While Yuki can go around giving temporary forced transformations that only last for about an hour or so, a person must make a contract in order to be given the powers along with the device needed for them to transform at any given time. Making contracts can easily fatigue him, especially if he makes too many at one given point in time. The magical girls and boys will have varying powers, usually focused around a certain element/planet/etc. Yuki can also revoke/terminate a contract at any given time, though it uses more energy if the person under contract has not violated the contract in any way, shape, or form.
Yuki does not have many powers from his former days as a Sailor Scout, but he does retain the wisdom and powers of trickery from the powers of Metis. This involves mild illusions and silver tongue. There is one power he was given upon landing on the island: the power to shapeshift. Though, this is not normal shifting. He only has one other form he can change into, and that is just a cream and brown tabby cat with the symbol of Metis on the forehead. The same symbol can faintly be seen on his own forehead. It doesn't seem very outstanding, huh? Well, it doesn't have to be. After all, he isn't the one doing all the fighting. His magical girls and boys are! It is only in this form that he can create contracts with others, and, yes, this feline form can talk. He just prefers to meow.
