Dark of the night there lies a places down town where all those creepy crawlies go, this place is like that nobodies speaks of. What lurks here? Well the monsters on this island must all go somewhere, somewhere in the night, oh such lovely dancing shadows of criminals and sins. This specific area is a small dancing bar, one with all those flashing high tech lights, all loud music from speakers. If you were from the hightech world of the "modern age" this will be the best place to have a drink, have fun, and possibly a nice relationship with a vampire or three. The music played loudly, the bodies music to each beat of the music, all sweaty from being neck and neck with each other. If you were a hunter, this was the absolute best place. Tonight will be two hunters, ones whom may hunt each other, a game... A lovely game.
A girl, she looked pretty regular medium length pink hair, bit of an interesting short dress black outfit, some odd reason the shadows loved to dance along with her skin. Many would think she was an ignorant fool wondering he into the night, but no.. She comes with a reason, no not that reason, she was a huntress as much as those hunters. This girl wanted to find some one to play a little game with her, even if it was their life, well if she could take lives if only she had that God Death's power.
Since she had no real power to kill, she instead mentally messes with her victims... As a Goddess of Criminals it was her duty to comprehend and understand why criminals do what they do. What did this mean? It meant she was allowed to "study" sins of all kinds and how they all connect, to understand the stories of how they started... This involves a little bit of drink, a little bit of skin, and a lot of mind manipulation. With shadows dancing along who will join in?

honest to god i will break your heart Jas was intimately familiar with every bar on this island. He knew where to go to find innocents, where to go to find one night stands, the best places to hunt and play and watch and wreak havoc. This was none of those places. The fact of the matter was that he was not on a hunt tonight, at least not one of the feeding variety. He was feeling pretty good right now; there was the slightest bit of hunger low in his stomach but it wasn't pressing, certainly not enough to warrant a proper meal. It was, however, noticeable enough to give him the urge to prowl- which was why he was here. He didn't frequent it often, he didn't like his face being well known among the island's more powerful crowd, but when he wanted a good old fashioned chase this was definitely the place to go. Humans here were few and far between, and those that managed to survive did so by raw skill and power. It was a night creature's playground, a place to walk among equals, and this fine evening he was in search of neither a partner nor a meal but a worthy adversary. He hadn't had too much to drink yet- just enough to send the slightest buzz vibrating through his veins- and he wasn't holding anything back as he stalked the club. Usually he had to hold back on some of his more inhuman features, but tonight was a night of no holds barred, and he was in his element as he prowled, wicked grin matching the wicked glint in mismatched eyes. Hmm, who to approach... It was a difficult decision. A bad choice could leave him either bored or in a brawl; the right one guaranteed him a wonderful game all night long. This one looked too tough; this one too easy. What to do... And then a little girl with pink hair caught his eye. My my, wasn't that interesting. He wasn't so stupid as to think she was helpless, in fact someone with the nerve to enter an establishment like this looking like that had to be someone with some punch. It promised to be interesting, in any case- yes, she would do nicely. He wove in and out of the crowd, trying to stay out of her sight though if this was going to be any fun hopefully she had the sense to notice. In any case, when he emerged it was suddenly and from right behind her; he wrapped a slender arm around her shoulders, purring slightly to himself. "Why hello there~" He crooned, low in his throat, practically vibrating in his excitement. "And what might a little thing like you be doing in a big, bad place like this? I believe it's past your bedtime, baby girl."tear you to pieces, rip you apart

She felt it, oh how she felt it... Something moving stealthily like a predator in the shadows, course' that was everywhere in this establishment, but this.. This felt different, more dangerous with ill attention toward, well what do you know, her of all people. She could not help but smile at her luck, she merely stayed where she was pretending to be aware, knowing all full well the one stealthily moving about knew or suspected that she was dangerous as well. It was a game, a lovely game.
Her heart pound as he came closer, it was almost time, her whole body tingling at the excitement of the dance, of the game. He reached his destination, her. He smoothly wrapped a slender arm around her, oh such expertise, certainly a killer of the best. This hunter must have extreme expertise at all the bars, and of specialty female prey. His whole body had the presence that female will fall for at an instant, the presence of cold blood that females seemed to seek.
A low crooned escaped his throat, oh how his excitement seemed to vibrate toward her, she couldn't help but blush toward it. All this? For her? Time to play into his hands as the little lamb, time to play his game with hers. "Oh? it is... I did not notice, such dazzling lights, must have lost track of time." she gave her best tough girl voice, acting as if truly one who was new around here. She began to pull away, then looked toward him and his face, she attempted to speak again playing the victim. "I better go ho-" her voice faltered, her heart beat speeding up as if mesmerized by him, as if forgetting everything else. She of course was enjoying the girl of the so oh "helpless little girl" as much as she was sure he was enjoying it, who would fall for who?

honest to god i will break your heart She looked up at him and blushed, and oh, didn't that just warm him to the bottom of his cold, cold heart? She acted well, he had to hand it to her, but he knew it was a game- yet even though he was well aware it was fake it still sent pleasant vibrations running through him. That was the way it was going to be, hmm? Refreshing; few on this island were of the type to behave so shyly, even for fun. Even her faux-brave voice was flawless, an master actor pretending to be a poor one. Mmm, yes, let the battle begin. The girl began to pull away from him, an expertly crafted break marring her voice ever so slightly. He wasn't having any of that- he pulled her closer to his body, not quite touching his torso though definitely invading her personal space. "Oh, don't you worry about it, sweetheart." His hand rose; he trailed a finger along her cheek, slowly, deliberately. "You'll be perfectly safe with me. Stay here, no need to go rushing off." His voice grew low, husky; he leaned close, loving the way he towered over her. "But first: could your noble knight have the honor of knowing his princess' name?" He was nothing if not a gentleman. He could already feel himself toeing the line- the slight edge of hunger and the hum of alcohol in his veins gave the whole business an intense feeling of excitement, but though he loved to throw himself wholeheartedly into the act he had to keep at least some of his senses about him. He couldn't allow himself to get carried away; the moment he believed too thoroughly that he was entirely in charge of the encounter he was lost. It was a game of self-control; yet for now he was still in control, and as long as that was true he would hold nothing back. tear you to pieces, rip you apart

His response? Pull her closer to him, but not quite too close. He then whispered to her, reminding her that she was safe, with well him. The girl stared with large innocent cute eyes as if a prey to a predator, he gently rubbed a finger against her cheek ever so slowly. A taunt, that was what it was, he was taunting her to react to flinch to show weakness. She loved every bit of the inch of the taunt, she wanted to play right into it, to enjoy every bit of it till this little chessgame ended. He spoke the words that foolish girls always fall for, the very words that seems to get so many pitiful girls murdered... He leaned closer, such a sinful attack, so much to learn.
She allowed him to lean closer.. She would be the mesmerized little lamb, he the foolish lion not seeing the predator before him. He wanted to be that noble knight? Wants her name? Well so be it.. She looked up at him answering as if she had no choice in the matter."O-Od-oda-odatori" she stuttered as if struggling to think straight, a panic almost.
She broke the distance to him, leaning her complete body to him. A fish trapped on the hook. Too bad it was the fisher who drowns in the lake.

honest to god i will break your heart Mmm, and wasn't that just the loveliest stutter? One could get lost, playing around with someone like that. It was intoxicating. But he knew better, he did- he could hold himself back, if only to savor the moments of this delicious illusion. She was a wolf simply disguising herself as a sheep; all he had to do was not get carried away and take her at face value. Oh, but she made such a wonderful lost little lamb... But no, they were two wolves circling each other, that was all. Though he hated to admit he was at a disadvantage here; he was the one with all his cards on the table, after all. Yet the challenge would make his victory all the sweeter, wouldn't it? He had no intention of losing. "A lovely name for a lovely maiden." Usually he'd respond with his name in kind, it was only polite, but you know what? She could work for it. It would be nice to hear her little girl's voice asking that of him, and if she didn't it was her loss. He was stacking the cards, it was win-win; now to see how she would alter the deck back in her favor. Not that he intended to give her the chance. The faster he moved the harder it would be for her to stay in character, if he pressed his advantage hard enough maybe he could do this. He took her leaning into him as a sign that it was okay to take it a bit farther- he wrapped his free arm around her waist, cradling her to him protectively- or perhaps possessively, as he growled lowly at some stray hunter who's eyes wandered too close to his Odatori. This was his prey, no one else's; and if the purr that rumbled from his chest at her warmth wasn't entirely fabricated, well, all the better for his illusion. "And what made you wander, little dove? I'm sure you have a lovely castle somewhere. Why leave?" He swayed ever so subtly to the beat of the music. His voice, though bright before, grew lower, rich like black velvet. "Perhaps milady was in search of a Prince Charming?"

Well, look at this, the fisher was as manly as a man. He forgot to mention his name, why a predator knew a predator so well, this would force any predator to break. A smile slithered onto the girl's face, she could not hold the excitement of the game no longer. A misstep, one she rather enjoyed for her little games, they always force the game to move forward instead of standing still.
Just as she was planning to expertly break from him to ask his name, he expertly took a step forward. Oh how exotic his movements and skill in this game. He smoothly, as a prince should, wrapped his other free arm around her wrist, almost like a lion holding to its kill. A rumbling of a growl escaped, her eyes flashed with interest, she could not help it. As a Goddess of Stories she must learn the stories step-by-step, just like other Gods, the only bonus of the title was fear the other Gods seemed to hold with her possibly "knowing all".
A castle somewhere, no, a Goddess who gathered preys from those in desperate do not worship her. She was rather a disgrace of the God realm, one without a temple, one without a single loyal worshiper, more freedom to roam. He swayed with the music like a dagger to the skin, she followed her mask of the innocent lost girl fading way to one of huntress to hunter. "To wander, is but a gift, prince charming." Her movements became more charming in an almost animalistic grace. "Prince Charming?" She leaned toward him giving a deadly kiss before he could stop her, pulling back expertly, a poisonous bite. "I had one long ago, are you to save me?" She opened her reddish-brown eyes, the light dancing gently in them tempting him to take the bait.

honest to god i will break your heart The thing about being a fairy was that he couldn't lie. It didn't hamper his silver tongue; hell, it was probably what had allowed him to develop his sly way with words. But that was where his real handicap laid, for though he was not mortal neither was he a God. He was imperfect, and even the greatest hunter, when riled up enough, made mistakes. He thought, for a moment, that he spied a serpentine smile on her face. He could sense the kill, taste the copper tang of victory just at the tip of his tongue- and it excited him. It made him want to rush, to race to the finish, and when she recovered he made the mistake of thinking she was barely hanging on, so hurried was he to press his advantage. There it was, her true inner huntress coming out to play. He could feel it in her movements, in the inhuman grace she radiated simply from standing there and rocking. And then, lightning fast, she kissed him- and internally he was already celebrating his victory. His grin grew dangerously wide. This was it, he thought, he had her. So he looked into her eyes and laughed, huskily, voice raspy with delight. "Princess, I can be anything you want me to be."Was it a promise? Not quite. But if she pressed the matter and trapped him into an oath, he was bound (or was it cursed?) to always stay true to his word. tear you to pieces, rip you apart

A grin lite up, what did he believe he won? How cute, the wolf thinks he caught the she-wolf, almost desperate are we? This was where the real fun began, the bait to each other, as if one was to have everlasting love... Only to snatch it away claiming victory of the night. She knew nothing of his heritage, of his curse, if she did... She may have been careful at her own words, might have played her pieces on the board better, might have even chosen the white queen instead of the black bishop.
She loves his dangerously wide grin, oh so few of those, why could Death not have one? He was Death, how did he fail at his own job? So focused on his unforgiven love, so focused on the sins he committed instead of enjoying those sins. Did he not understand the power he truly held? Just if she had a touch of that power... They would truly understand she was just as important in this world as others here...
A part of her suddenly gave a twist... A flashback from long ago, what was the meaning of this? The very reason for her here, her living... A handsome man of great evil, one with a dangerous grin matching this, no deadlier... He knew his prey, and he knew it better than anyone else... How she wished to hold him again, how she wished to cure him of his "justice" side. A tear littered her cheek, as the predator laughed and with a delighted voice asked her to be anything she wanted him to be... She felt that moment of weakness, that moment one feel for a lost lover... Did he win? Did he rule the Diamond Kingdom forever with a powerful mighty hand, a hand her sisters tempted to stop, that she helped encouraged?
"Justice..." She paused her lips parting, eyes hazing over in cruelty and memories... "Shatter Justice, help me create Injustice this world deserves. Help me bring the joy of death, and the lies of life. As the new God of Deceit." If only she knew the fate before her, if only she looked at the cards instead of the chessboard, she would see the trickster in the hand.

honest to god i will break your heart Was that a... tear? That was unexpected; the strangeness of it was almost enough to jar him out of his game. Was that an act, or was she sad that she lost, or...? They all had their own burdens, of course, but this was purely professional, it was strange to see it so suddenly revealed to him. They were practically strangers, after all. He pulled away from her ever so slightly, looking into her face- to see the glazed look of someone lost in memories. Oh, that was no fun. Did she not think him a threat? "...you talk big, sweetheart. Very nice. Everyone needs a dream, hmm?" He spun her around to face him, almost roughly, though he didn't put any real strength into it. "Sorry, Princess, but that's a little outside my job description. Take my advice, don't mess with any so-called 'gods'. Besides, aren't there more... interesting things to do in the present?" Maybe it was a little petty, the irritation flashing in his eyes, but he didn't appreciate anyone else taking his prey from him- even if they were just figures from the past. He was here, he was now, she should be looking at him, dammit, not some outdated memory. He leaned down, got up in her face, hovering just a breath away from her lips- she'd given him one kiss, after all, why not a second? There were worse ways to spend an evening. Besides, she'd thought of someone else while in his presence; she had scorned him, and there was no way he was letting her go unpunished. tear you to pieces, rip you apart

She had taken no notice of his backward step, not when lost in her memories... He only just regained her attention when words crossed his mouth, words she barely caught the ending "everyone needs to dream". He then gave her a quick spun to face him, it held no real strength. It merely held the dangerous air of a hunter wanting his prey to watch him, to see him. Something she had witnessed lurking in the shadows of murders, and much greater horrors... So this is what it felt to be the female on the other end, how did the females not enjoy it? Was their power that weak?
His words however stayed with her, even if her thoughts drifted slightly from original course. Everyone needs to dream, did that give them the right to dream? Quickly she flicked the thought out of her head, this was a hunt, philosophy can be for another time. A predator should never lose sight of its own surroundings, that was how other bigger predators kill it. She gave a sly smile at his words of messing with the gods, she spoke with a smooth careful voice "Perhaps the Gods are too much work for us petty lesser beings?"
The present, yes must more interesting things to do in the present. The future, she will plan for the future, by starting with the present. He skillfully with the beat of the song leaned down as if to kiss her,or tempt her to kiss him, oh what was this? He really think he had the right to kiss her? Acting as such a murderous scum who only wanted her to himself? Especially since he found her more interested in something else, losing interest here... This for some reason, made her all that interested in him.
Though now believed him to be a fool not to reach for true power. He was beneath her true lover, her true lover would have accepted the challenge toward the Gods. Seeing as she'll never see her lover again though, maybe, just maybe she could turn him to more darker ambitious motives than females in the night.
Her eyes turn cold and sharp, the shadows sensing her pulling in power seemed to have gotten a tad bit bigger as if taking the power from her to grow. "If you are such a coward, I believe we are done here." She attempted to pull herself away with grace, having no real true attention of truly leaving the scene or him.

honest to god i will break your heart It took her a moment to come back to him, during which he could feel his irritation growing. Was he really so boring that she felt she could safely ignore him? He'd have to fix that, he wasn't going to put up with being ignored. He could see it in her eyes, the moment she dragged herself back to the here and now, and that was good- except for her sly, almost angry look. Oh, my, he'd hit a nerve, hadn't he? Hmm. He'd have to file that away for future reference. At least she was responding, though, which was something. "Hey now, baby, who do you think you're calling petty? I thought I was your knight in shining-" But her eyes had gone cold and sharp, and wasn't that interesting? This was the way she wanted to play it then, hmm? He didn't take kindly to being the one trailing after her like a lost puppy, but damn it all she wasn't going to get away from him. Her words made his eyes go cold and flat; his grin stayed in place, though the genuine enjoyment of the hunt was replaced with a slightly strained, slightly forced look. Hmph. She tried to pull herself away and he wasn't having any of it, spinning her around yet again as he put himself between her and the exit. "Easy there, Princess, don't you know it's dangerous to go alone? You talk of gods, careful you don't let your guard down. Even us mortals bite." No, he wasn't bitter, not at all; when had this stopped being fun? Ugh. tear you to pieces, rip you apart

She felt an eyebrow go up at him calling her a princess, and a simple reminder how dangerous it was all alone. It seemed impressive that he made a combat and so strongly, it really turned her on to play into his game more. Something in the shadows shifted, something not good... Something felt like it was going to go down, and badly. It was time to leave, time to bring this elsewhere. It was merely a precaution, what with all those Gods out there, one could be here. One could be just waiting to snatch her prey away, a prey she quickly was wishing to be prey of.
She pressed her body next to him, her hips ever more smoother than before. She leaned in, her whisper possibly tickling his ear, "I must go home, would you like to protect this foolish princess?" If he turned her down, well guess he wasn't that into the hunt. If he agreed, the hunt may just move to dangerous levels, levels she might just enjoy.

honest to god i will break your heart Hmph, that was rather insulting. The humor was gone, his eyes gone rather savage, though when it became clear that her attention was back on him some of that was remedied. It did give him the slightest bit satisfaction, cold and cruel as it was, and he supposed that he was appeased for now. He'd just have to step up his game, was all- no way he was going to lose his prey to a man who wasn't even there. No, he was a predator, that simply wasn't acceptable. He purred the slightest bit as she pressed against him, a smirk curling the corners of his lips. The whisper in his ear was almost like an apology, in its own twisted way; it was nearly enough to mend his wounded pride. Almost. "Naturally, sweetheart. What kind of knight would I be, otherwise?" He chuckled, low and rough, before untangling himself from her and taking a step back, offering his arm like the perfect gentleman he was. "Shall we get going? The night's still young, after all."
He had half an urge to wink at her, though that was out of character and therefore not allowed. He was, however, the slightest bit impatient, and still a little pissed from being ignored, and thus rather than wait for her he grabbed her none-too-gently by the arm and began to escort her out, winning grin still firmly in place. He could practically feel the excitement on the air- his true skin was just aching to emerge, but of course they couldn't do what they wanted in such a public place. These shady dealings were best left for the shadows- and the quicker they could get there, the better. tear you to pieces, rip you apart

"yes let's go." she went to accept his outstretched gentleman arm, but before she could he grabbed her in the most impatient way. She felt a little irritation at this, a player yes, but keep your game up. He quickly dragged her away, almost as if he was kidnapping her to extent.
The felt something in the shadows, she couldn't explain it, it was just a slight tingle. It would be barely noticeable for those watching shadows around, but feeling the shadows... Feeling as the shadows move and dance in the night, you can tell... Tell that there was a great tingle of excitement as to what would happen next. This small tingle, she knew not where it came from, but it caused her guard to raise. She gathered the shadows around her, not in the most obvious of ways, just merely causing them to lean toward her for quick grabbing.
She pulled the impatient hunter closer to her, put on a smile, and asked as they drew further and further away from public. "My Prince where are we going? This is not toward my home, is this toward yours perhaps?" she could not help but add a dripping threat to her words.
